JaxView Main view is divided into multiple sections. You access each section by clicking on the menu tab for that section along the top of the Main view area. Each tab displays a two part view for that section. The left side includes an object tree menu applicable to the section. The right side is a display panel to view lists of objects, message data, or to edit configuration settings for the objects in that section.
The following table gives an overview of the tabbed sections and their usage. Use the links in the table to view more information about the section for each tab.

| Services | The main JaxView object management section. Includes the Services object tree for adding and editing Web service locations and assignment of all other objects. Also includes tables of real-time messages that are being sent to or from specific Web services and operations provided by those Web services. |
| Monitors | Adding or editing which monitor types are available for use and their assignment to other objects such as Web service Operations or Rules. |
| Transactions | Adding or editing Transaction Monitors for both Generic SOAP or JTA container managed transactions |
| Rules | Adding or editing event notification rules and their assignment to monitors and alerts. |
| Alerts | Adding or editing alert action definitions and their assignment to Rules. |
| Reports | Adding or editing scheduled reports and their assignment to monitored operations |
| Admin | General administrative tasks and integration configurations. This includes managing JaxView users, settings for email, integration with databases, Enterprise Service Busses, and agent stubs, and other settings. |
